Similar to “cool,” but with an added emphasis on the fact that it’s fresh and current. 和“cool”差不多，但是更强调事物是很当下流行，很酷很火
怎么用：
做形容词
Example: Jesse’s party last weekend was totally lit. Jesse的派对太燃了。
#2. Throw shade on someone: 鄙视、黑某人
什么意思：
Insult or a diss 鄙视，侮辱
Means that you’re putting down someone else 贬低某人
怎么用：
搭配动词throw
Someone + threw shade/is throwing shade + on/at somebody/something,
Example: Kanye threw some shade on Jay Z. (注解：Kanye 和 Jay Z是美国两位著名的音乐人。)
#3. Get woke: 醒醒吧
什么意思：
Means you’re knowledgeable, aware, and “with it.” 头脑很清醒，很了解某事
注意：这个词一般指了解国家大事，不会用语比如擅长打游戏，做饭之类的日常事件
怎么用:
Someone is woke. 某人知识很渊博。
To get woke 清醒过来，反思起来
Example:

Short for suspicious or suspect, it’s used to describe something that’s shady or scandalous. 很可疑，不靠谱
怎么用：

Example: I’m not surprised he lied to you, I told you he was sus.他会骗你我一点都不吃惊，我告诉过你他很不靠谱。
#5. Extra：用力过猛
什么意思：
Extra现在的流行用法不是“多余”，而是:
Obnoxious: 傲慢自大，让人讨厌的
Being unnecessarily dramatic, trying too hard. 表演过头，戏精！
怎么用：
做形容词
Example: You are so extra. 你太戏剧化了！
#6. Fam：自己人、我们就像一家人
什么意思：
Self-explanatory: 自己人
Homies, people you consider family. 像家人一样，比“family”更酷：伐木累

Example: She's fam.
